Disabled access
Our farmhouse is wheelchair-friendly. The holiday home has a high-low kitchen, an adapted bathroom and two bedrooms on the ground floor. One of the 8-person Grondulows also has an adapted bathroom, making it suitable for the disabled too.
We've had positive experiences with Vegro for supplying additional aids such as a people lifter or a high-low bed for your holiday at our farm (click here for the link).
Pets
If you would like to bring your pet, you can. Pets are welcome at the farm for a small fee, provided we've been informed in advance. We charge an additional €45 cleaning fee per accommodation where a pet stays. These costs also apply if you receive day visitors who bring a pet. If you want to bring along multiple pets on your holiday, we charge an additional fee per night starting with the second pet (€7,50 per pet per night).
Things for in the Grondulow or in our farmhouse
The Grondulow is a fully furnished holiday cottage, just like our authentic farmhouse. You won't need to bring any pots and pans for example. Every accommodation has a standard filter coffee machine. We'll also provide a few dishwasher tablets, a cleaning cloth, a dish brush and a scouring sponge. What you do need to remember to bring with is, for instance, toilet paper, hand soap (because you will get dirty at the farm), salt and pepper (to go with a freshly laid egg from one of our chicken), but also towels and table linen. And don't forget! If you haven't reserved bed linen, you'll need to bring that along too (all beds are 1-person, 90x200). If you did rent bed linen, please don't forget table linen and towels, these are not included with the bed linen.
For our youngest guests
We offer camping beds (€10 each) and high chairs (€6) each for rent. You will need to bring your own child's duvet and linen for the camping bed. Every cottage has plastic kid's cutlery.
Babysitting service
Our farm has so much to do for kids, that mums and dads have enough time to themselves to enjoy a good book or the wonderful view of the meadows. But for the evenings we also like to offer you some additional service, so you can go out to dinner for instance. Our babysitting service is available at your request. Would you like to know more or already book a babysitter for your holiday, please don't hesitate to contact us. The price for the babysitting service is €9 an hour, with your babysitter coming to your holiday cottage. After 23:00, the price is €12.50 an hour.
What you definitively don't have to bring to the farm
What you definitively don't have to bring to the farm
Farmer Truus has lots of games, books and magazines for everyone staying at the farm. So you don't need to bring a lot of entertainment... we've got that covered!
Old clothes... Very important
It's not unusual to get a few 'cow dung freckles'. After all, you'll be among the cows when milking them. Or 'straw itches' because of playing in the 'straw hut'. In short; be sure to bring some old clothes so you can really enjoy life on the farm. And don't forget your rubber boots and perhaps real coveralls! Are you looking for coveralls? At the CAVV (shop in Heeten), you can order coveralls, and then we'll make sure they'll be ready for you in the right size and colour. You can call them on the number +31 572 381541 or by sending an email (click here). Don't forget to mention you are calling regarding 'Koe in de Kost', they'll know what it's for! P.S. There is a washing machine at the farm, which you can use for a small fee.
